Ynot Trekking Event Coverage on The Hindu

On top of the world

Trekking is one of the most exciting ways of understanding, exploring and appreciating nature. . Ynot Trekking, a Chennai-based group, has been providing this experience for over two years now.

It offers activities designed children aged eight and above. According to a group, the activities are not too physically demanding. They include trekking in easy locations such as Nagalapuram, Coorg and Valparai. Ynot has also set up army-style obstacle courses, simulated bull-ride, simulated surfing and zorbing to train children. .

D. Bhaskar Dasarathy, business head, Ynot Trekking, says, “There is a good response from kids and parents for all these activities as they are radically different from the conventional games. The activities are also engineered to help children deal with stress and to take decisions independently. As with any other adventure, there is a bit of danger in some of the activities but Ynot will take care of the safety of children. We also ask parents to escort their children for additional safety.” As part of Children’s Day, Ynot is conducting a special activity at Nagalapuram.
